Our
region
Saguenay–Lac-St-Jean, in northern Quebec, Canada, is a place where the story of the wild blueberry dates back to May 1870, when a devastating forest fire restored the native plant to our lands.
Because of the composition of our unique soil and our climate, we can harvest our crops with no need for large amounts of chemical inputs or additives in the fresh, natural water we use.

Wild!
Wild blueberries are one of the most antioxidant-rich fruits, containing some of the highest anti-inflammatory proprieties with up to twice the nutritional proprieties than its cultivated counterpart. The native lowbush blueberry contains much less water and approximately 25% more serving per 30-pound carton than the highbush blueberry, which makes it a choice food-product ingredient.
An ever-growing number of consumers are choosing to follow the Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability (LOHAS) trend, who believe “wild foods” are healthier and taste better because of how pure they are. Including “wild” on a blueberry product label increases consumer willingness to purchase, purchase volume, and price premium in multiple categories1.
